Felicia Fraser is a visual artist based in Vancouver, BC, with a background in illustration and graphic design. Her work centres on small, familiar objects such as candies, toys, games, and collections, and the way they carry memory, comfort, and joy.

By painting small, familiar objects at a large scale and with careful realism, Felicia removes them from their usual context, allowing them to take on new meaning. What is often overlooked becomes a source of emotional memory and quiet joy. Her paintings aim to capture childhood feelings, including the thrill of discovery, the joy of play, the sweetness of small moments, and the freedom of being yourself. In a fast-moving, overstimulated world, her work offers a pause and an invitation to slow down and look closer.

Mia’s solo time spent in the Mojave Desert between Joshua Tree and the West coastline of Southern California had a great impact on her work.  Her paintings are infused with desert flora and fauna, dusty motorcycle/skateboard trips, and nights spent under the desert stars contemplating the complexities of the human experience.As we transition from the year of the Wood Snake (2025) to the year of the Fire Horse (2026), this series titled “Barbed Wire Moon” also explores notions of shedding stagnant ideals and bursting forth with bold momentum toward social justice, truth and freedom.

Dungeon explores how we might remain collectively resilient, empathetic, and move forward with a unified confidence through times of fear, chaos and division.
